Congratulations, Ed! Sheeran named the most streamed artist in the World on Spotify...and 'Happy' is the most listened to track of the year!

Ed Sheeran has been named by Spotify as the most streamed artist of the year.

The singer, 23, has racked up an astonishing 860 million  streams on the service, beating Eminem (2nd) and Coldplay (3rd) to the top spot.

The most streamed female was Katy Perry, with Ariana Grande the second most-listened to female on the site.

Spotify said its users had listened to a staggering 7 billion HOURS of music in 2014, with the most streamed individual track 'Happy' by Pharrell Williams...listened to 260 million times.
