Biggest Earner In Music Revealed: Dr Dre nets a staggering $620 million!

Forbes magazine has unveiled Dr Dre as the biggest earner in the music industry, reporting that the producer, rapper and entrepreneur has made a staggering $620 million (before tax) in the past year.

The majority of his windfall is thought to come from the sale of his company, Beats, to Apple for $3 billion. The company is best known for its headphones range, which cost around $300 each.

Dr Dre's earnings dwarfed those of the second top earning music star in 2014, Beyonce, who netted $115 million in the past year.
