That's because a new study, the details of which are in today's Daily Mirror, says 63% of programming on the main UK Channels will be repeats.
47% of the flagship channel BBC One channel's shows will, over the festive season, be repeats, whilst on BBC Two, 74% of shows will come from the archives.
Over on ITV, the percentage of shows which have aired before is 54%, whilst Channel 4 will air 72% repeats this Christmas.
A BBC One spokesperson that, when looking at prime time shows, 90% is new programming over the festive season.
