According to their website, there have been 18.7 million streaming's of former Christmas Number Ones and songs in the past week alone, with the most popular track Mariah Carey's 'All I want for Christmas is You'. Her hit single was streamed a staggering 861,000 times last week.
The Official Charts Company released the data as it announced that, for the first time, streaming figures will be included in the Christmas Number One figures - meaning a classic tune could steal the prestigious spot thanks to being streamed. It means Mariah Carey and other artists including Wham! and Wizzard are expected to return to the Top 40 in the coming week.
The Christmas Number One will be announced at 7pm GMT next Sunday - Tea Break Chats will bring you the news as it breaks.
