Phillip will feature on numerous shows including Good Morning Britain, Loose Women and even National Weather broadcasts! The whole 24 hours are set to be broadcast on ITV 3, with broadcasts throughout the day on the main ITV channel.

The 24 hour stunt is raising money for the ITV Text Santa appeal, which supports six charities; the Teenage Cancer Trust, Guide Dogs, WellChild, Together for Short Lives, Marie Curie Cancer Care and The Alzheimer's Society. The Text Santa three hour show will be broadcast on 19 December, with Philip among the anchors.

Speaking ahead of the event, Schofield said: "This is going to be exciting...the longest I have broadcast is around eight hours for the Royal Wedding and again for the Diamond Jubilee. I am not sure what I have let myself in for but it's live TV so there is nowhere to hide".

Comments left on Phillip's Just Giving page for the event include "A massive effort for a great cause", "you'll be great as always" and "Will try and watch it all". Among the donations pledged to the Text Santa appeal for his telethon is £100 from Paul W, who said: "Good Luck mate".

Philip Schofield's 24 Hour Telethon, on ITV, will air on 1 December 2014 from 11am. Best Of Luck!
